Tell us a little about your corporation/organization.

Vortex Aquatic Structures International is the world leader in aquatic play landscapes and entertainment. We provide imaginative, durable aquatic play and water feature solutions that create everlasting memories. Our ongoing mission is to develop fun, safe and reliable products for families and children of all ages and abilities. Our solutions include: Splashpads®, Waterslides, Elevations™, Playable Fountains and Water management systems.

How does your corporation/organization impact parks and recreation?

Since 1995, Vortex has been revolutionizing the way children and families play in urban spaces, waterparks, and resorts worldwide. With over 9,000 installations spanning 54 countries and 5 continents, our innovative approach to water attractions has helped communities and businesses grow—leaving an impact long after families have dried off.

Why do you choose to be a member of the Indiana Park and Recreation Association? How long have you been a member?

As IPRA brings such a value to the state of Indiana, Vortex has been a member over 15 years. Thanks to the many networking events and conferences, we are able to meet people that we would not have had the opportunity to without IPRA. 

How has your experience with IPRA benefited your corporation/organization?

What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your membership? - Being a member of IPRA is a must for anyone in Indiana looking for more resources and networking opportunities. We really enjoy reading the newsletters and discovering the successes of other members. The tradeshows and conferences help us grow our business knowledge, resources, network and also friendships.

A very special Vortex project was recently installed in Indiana: An ADA-accessible Elevations™ at Murphy Aquatic Park in Avon! With a zero-depth entry and wheelchair accessible decks, everyone can participate in the fun! There are also 48 water features, three water slides, and a toddler zone, to make sure this is an inclusive experience where everyone can come and play together! This project became a pillar for many others.
