Indianapolis Office of Land Stewardship Receives the Outstanding Institution Advancing Sustainability award

Congratulations to the Indianapolis Office of Land Stewardship for receiving the Outstanding Institution Advancing Sustainability award.

This was for their work to restore and protect natural areas in Indianapolis parks. In addition to providing wildlife habitat and space for recreation, these areas function as green infrastructure. Managed woodlands, wetlands, and prairies capture significant amounts of stormwater, reducing runoff and pollution. They also lessen the flood risk, clean the air, and store carbon.
