Grab your walking shoes and join us at Lafayette Parks & Recreation Departments Columbian Park for a Northern District Meeting! Lafayette Parks Superintendent and staff will discuss the history of the Columbian Park Zoo & how it became a part of Lafayette Parks & Recreation department, challenges and successes of recent upgrades, and Columbian Park Zoo today: admission, memberships, and much more.

About Lafayette Parks and Recreation:

The Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department operates and maintains 700 acres of land within the City of Lafayette. This includes the maintenance of more than 27 miles of paved trails. In 2021, Lafayette Parks & Recreation dedicated multiple multi-million dollar projects in Columbian Park including the new Loeb Stadium, Phase 3 of the Memorial Island Master Plan, and the new Penguin Cove exhibit at the Columbian Park Zoo. Today the department is working on a new carousel amusement ride for Columbian Park as well as a brand new All-Inclusive Sports Field at CAT Park.
