Join us at Howard Park in South Bend for a winter trails gathering! This exciting event will discuss the history and design to the trail as well as operations and community engagement.

About the Park:

Howard Park’s 16,000 square foot ice trail and pond is a premier winter destination for the region. The ice trail features rolling hills and soft curves that provide skaters with a diverse terrain when making their way around the loop, past fire pits, unique landscaping, and seasonal décor. It features perhaps the only refrigerated ice bridge in the world, which creates an underpass to access the four-season marquee playground. The ice pond is attached to the ice trail, providing a more traditional skating experience with an isolated skating area that can be used for learning to skate or skating activities like broomball. The 13-acre park features other dynamic amenities such as a full-service restaurant, riverwalk, event lawns, and interactive fountains.
