Join Us for a Live 3-hour Webinar and then Complete the Online Academy for Youth Sports Administrators! Become a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA)

On WEDNESDAY, April 21, 2021 , we will be hosting a LIVE 3-hour WEBINAR as the first step in earning this professional certification. All participants will be provided access to the Online Academy for Youth Sports Administrators at the conclusion of the webinar to complete the certification process.

Earning the CYSA designation gives youth sports administrators a strong foundation of knowledge on issues pertaining to overseeing youth sports programs in today’s ever-changing environment. Some of the topics covered through the Academy are youth sports philosophy, professional development, volunteer management, child abuse prevention, parent management, conflict resolution, insurance and risk management, program evaluation and marketing.

IPRA and NAYS believe that every organization should have at least one certified and trained professional who understands the core/foundations of positive youth sports so that regardless of locale, youth sports are guided by a similar, positive philosophy. More than 5,600 professionals from around the world have earned this industry recognized certification and Youth Sports Directors on every American military base worldwide are mandated to earn this certification plus we are seeing more job announcements with the CYSA as a preferred qualification.

What does it mean to be a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA)?

CYSAs are an elite group of professionals that have earned certification in the field of youth sports. They have successfully completed the Academy for Youth Sports Administrators; they have demonstrated that professional development is essential to the delivery of quality sports programs; and they are committed to raising the professionalism in youth sports!

The Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) credential is earned by successfully completing the Academy for Youth Sports Administrators' exam within the Online Academy. Prior to taking the exam, candidates must review all materials that are available within the Online Academy sections. Once a candidate satisfactorily completes all section exams, the CYSA credential is earned and they join more than 5,400 other certified professionals who, together, want to offer the highest quality sports experiences in their local communities. The CYSA is a preferred certification for many park and recreation professionals and is mandated to be earned by youth sports directors on U.S. Military (Air Force, Army and Navy) installations that serve children and families worldwide.
